2025 - Rohmer Gallery

Rohmer Gallery is a hybrid art and performance space located at 84 Partition Street in Saugerties, NY. Founded by novelist Linh Luu and Grammy-nominated jazz songwriter, painter, and poet J.C. Hopkins, Rohmer Gallery is dedicated to showcasing emerging art and fostering a space for acoustic performance. The gallery launched on June 14 with its debut exhibition Look Again, on view through August 13. The group show featured Andrea Olivia’s photographic works exploring Black trans identity, drawings and paintings by Rina Kim, paintings by anonymous queer artist Oneslutriot exploring body and identity politics, abstract works by J.C. Hopkins, and ceramics by Robbie Ginsberg. Rohmer Gallery also functions as a listening room, offering an intimate setting for unamplified performance, with a focus on folk, jazz, classical, and songwriter-driven music. Through this hybrid format, the gallery invites audiences to slow down, engage deeply, and reflect on both visual and sonic experiences in an intimate, welcoming space.

The Church of the Messiah has established a fund to support Afghan refugees who have recently resettled in the Hudson Valley area. This recital aims to raise awareness and funds for the cause, with collected donations at this event going towards this mission. Admission is otherwise free for the public.
